After talking with Nathan Phelps (see prev Bonus Video) and having an awesome gathering on the steps of Sacramento, Spotman and I were inspired! This video is from some of the conversation we had on the road leaving Sacramento.
OK, so all I have to say is that I am SO glad you and your wonderful Grandpa were on the front page of Yahoo!!!! Ever since that summer day (sorry I can’t remember that exact date) my life has been TOTALLY different!
LA Decompression was awesome. Andicat and I went and set up an “unscheduled installation” in the form of a “HUG HERE @ 6PM” sign. This video gives a taste of the amazing burner vibe.
Thank you to everyone who took a moment or more out of their day to join the tour. Your participation online and in person made the journey magical and inspiring.
A special thank you to the people who opened their homes and wallets to help us on our way. Your support fueled our hearts (as well as our gas tank.)
Extra huge hugs to:
Farrel & Laurie
Lola & Jordan
Michael & Leslie
Nathan
Brian
Shells
Sera & Crisann
THANK YOU to all the love warriors and hug ambassadors who joined us in person and in spirit. The world feels just a wee bit warmer now. Thank you for being a part.
While we were in San Francisco, CNN aired a segment on HugNation. We pulled into a hotel and got to watch part of it on their bar TV with the sound off. (while a few hotel residents stared and pointed, “…wh…that’s YOU!”)
But after seeing it again with sound, I’m STOKED! I think it turned out fantastic!
One of the amazing things about the tour has been the people who “stumbled upon” one of our gatherings by chance…if there even is such a thing.
“Hey Hug Nation! I would like to thank you guys for being so friendly and welcoming yesterday at Venice beach. Thank you~ so~ much! I don’t know how I wouldv’e been if I didn’t get those hugs… (probably depress etc.) Thank you! You guys have really changed my life. Thank you!”
Joseph
Thank YOU, Joseph, for being open to the experience and being a part of it all!
After the SF hug, we had a chance to have an amazing conversation with the immensely talented Nathan Phelps. Nathan has been an inspiration and supporter for many years. Just talking with him helps to shape the vision and ideals of HugNation.
